Excellent concert by rock group Hladno pivo closed the 2nd festival day!

The 2^nd night of the Vukovar film festival ended with rock band Hladno pivo in beach bar Danube Gardens. The notes of ‘’Trening za umiranje’’ kept the audience dancing all night.

Yesterday’s competition began in Ružička’s house with a touching Romanian documentary Our School. It was followed by a Czech documentary about people who are in search of their life partners called Generation Singles, which was presented by its director Jana Poctova. She presented her movie shortly after her return from the Danubian sand island and a summer cinema which really excited her.

Two films were presented on the island cinema: German Our Daily Bread, a serious story about modern day’s food technology, and Finnish Iron Sky, a parody about the return of the Nazis to Earth.

In the evening, the audience at the river barge was greeted by Dan Chisu, the director of the Romanian film The Bear. The audience at the terrace of Agency for Waterways was exhilarated by Superman, Spiderman or Batman, a movie about a boy dreaming to become a superhero so he can save his mother.

After that, the audience got the chance to watch Barbara, this year’s winner of the Silver Bear for Best Director.
