Mungiu and Allen marked the 3rd day of VFF!

Last night, the 3^rd night of the festival, had a programme of extreme quality. The audience was greeted by a young Serbian director, Mihajlo Jevtić, the author of Gagarin and I, a film about a boy dreaming of becoming an astronaut.

It was followed by an extraordinary Romanian drama by Christian Mungiu, Beyond the Hills, the winner of Cannes Film Festival. The film was presented by its leading actor Valeriu Andriuta, Mungiu’s life-long associate and friend, who greeted the audience and surprised them with his monk beard he grew for his part in this movie. This drama about exorcisms happening in Romania in Moldavian moors excited every film admirer in the audience.

The Croatian premiere of Woody Allen’s new film, To Rome with Love, sparked so much interest that some were left without tickets. The audience laughed to this renowned Oscar winner’s typical intrigues which he placed in Italian eternal city of Rome. The evening ended in Danube Gardens beach bar with Kawasaki 3p concert.
