Father by day and musician by night; as a single parent, Coni barely gets by. A faded photograph is the only reminder of his daughter’s mother. But one day, shortly after Coni seems to be over her, she shows up again. Wrapped in a fictional storyline, "Unser Lied" is the study of a real father-daughter relationship, whose tenderness comes across powerfully in its visual portrayal.
Born in 1984 in Buenos Aires, Catalina Molina has been living in Austria since 1990. In 2004 she began her studies at the Film Academy in Vienna, University of Music and Performing Arts, where she studied film directing with Michael Haneke. During an exchange program, she took acting and dance classes at the Film University of INCAA in Buenos Aires. After her graduation, she participated in the Babylon Rotterdam program 2010, with her feature project “Cordoba 1978”, which was also selected for the Babylon Cannes.
