Storyline
A look behind the scenes of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. It’s a pleasure to follow the camera on its extended forays through the magnificent halls and well-stocked storage rooms, listening in on the exhibition curators and lingering with interest by the restorers. Fulfilling a museum’s lofty duties in the modern day – collection, preservation, research, exhibition and communication – requires good management.
Johannes Holzhausen was born in Salzburg, Austria in 1960. He studied art history, later at the Vienna Film Academy, where he made his first documentary,“ Wen die Götter lieben“. In addition, he has been involved in various art projects and was coorganiser of the „Art and Concepts of Art“ lecture series. Johannes Holzhausen has also workedas a script consultant on numerous feature lenght documentaries.
