Storyline

Faced with a number of difficulties, a pensioner from a depopulated village decides to cut down a tree to survive the cold days. This act of him has an unexpected consequence which forces him to separate with his only fellow - his donkey.

About the director

Martin Negrev studied film and television directing in the Master Class by Prof. Georgi Dyulgerov. He has participated, as well as held various positions, in a wide variety of audio-visual projects such as web series, videos, series, TV shows and movies. He has experience on the set, as a director, assistant director, production director, PA and others. The film "Donkey" is his debut project and his first independent film as a director and his second film after the short film "The Visit". "Donkey" is winner for "Best Short Film" in the program  of the 39th Golden Rose Festival.
