ONAMA

DISCOVERY FILM was established in Vukovar 1990. Film distribution is our activity. In the last 17 years we’ve profiled ourselves as a synonym for a quality film, recognized both by profession and audience. Our theatrical and video program includes titles from cinematography’s all over the world. We are propounding excellent cooperation with all domestic Film festivals, especially Zagreb Film Festival, Pula Film Festival and Motovun Film Festival. At all mentioned festivals our films are big attraction of the main program. The great taste in selecting movies is confirmed in a fact that our films had 23 nomination for last year’s Oscar film award.

Recent projects:

  • Asian Film Festival: The most recent Asian cinematography was introduced to Croatian audience in Autumn 2005. More then 30.000 people saw films during the festival. Encouraged by success of the first one, in January 2007 we organized the “Second Asian Film Festival“, containing the new quality and attractive slate of Asian pic.
  • Documentary Film Festival: Along with worldwide festival trends by the end of 2005, we organized excellently visited Festival of Documentary films. The proof of a very good selection of the titles is the fact that, from seven screened movies, three of them got an Oscar nomination last year, and March of the Penguins won the Oscar for the best documentary.
  • Filmophilia: humanitarian project, realised in cooperation with International Organization for Migrations; Throughout our film Ljilja 4-ever we talked about human trafficking, women’s position in different cultures... Sponsor of this project was the President of Croatia - Mr. Stipe Mesic.
  • Open your eyes and listen: in cooperation with Radio 101 we organized action for helping institutions that deal with drug addictions. We’ve screened film Requiem for a dream during this action.
