Storyline

Hommage to the first Lumiere brothers' film. As opposed to the original Lumiere film, where workers exit the main factory gate at the end of their shift, there is no one coming out now because the factories have been shut down and ruined beyond recognition.

About the director

Zvonimir Rumboldt is a film and television director born in Split 1969. After studying medicine in Zagreb and Padova (Italy), in 2003 he graduated film and television directing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts at the University of Zagreb. He assisted and directed at film, television and theatre. He directed theatre play „Erotska masaža“ and numerous films including „Oidar, Držić, Lavanderman – truth of myth?“, „Rom Kom“, „I Must Concentrate“, „Mountains“, „Cake Walk in Budapest“, „Poet and Tvrdalj“, „Andrija Kačić Miošić“, „Half Century of Disco“ as well as numerous TV-shows and videos. He has been a member of HDFD since 1998 and HZSU since 2011. He was writing movie critics and was the editor of the Croatian edition of the Total Film 2004-05. He is Assistant at the Academy of Dramatic Arts of the University of Zagreb (Acting in front of the camera), and since 2006 and author of the university handbook of Acting in front of the camera 2014.
