Storyline

A film about the efforts of one man to overcome the value systems affecting the outcasts of society. The action takes place at Kazichene prison in Bulgaria. Kalin thinks it’s worth fighting to win over just one person, enduring the less than favourable conditions of the Bulgarian correctional system. He doesn’t judge his ‘clientele’, and tries to draw out and encourage their hidden talents, which even their parents have failed to recognise. His goal: to raise at least one out of every 100 people out of the gutter.

About the director

Petko Gyulchev is a Bulgarian cameraman and TV documentary director. He was born in 1977. He has a degree in Cinema and Television production from New Bulgarian University, Sofia. Since 1997 he works at NOVA, bTV and National Television of Bulgaria, and documentary movie productions as director of photography and director. He found his own production company Izograph in 2007 and since than has produced and directed numerous TV programs and documentaries.
